Day and Night Come to Elemixies
The October 10 update is the biggest change to Elemixies since launch. The game now has day and night, and coins come from tasks instead of battles. Here are the main changes. The patch notes list every one, small fixes included.
Day and Night
An in-game day lasts 12 minutes, and the last 4 are night. At nightfall, about 1 wild common in 6 turns into something rarer, and every biome fills back up with a better chance of rarer ones. After dark, each pillar at the mixing shrine glows in its element's color.
Tasks Pay Coins
Three tasks arrive each in-game day. An adventure comes at sunrise and a battle 4 minutes later, and a catch waits for nightfall. A battle or adventure task pays 112 coins, and a catch task pays 52 for one Elemixie or 132 for three. Battles and bond camp adventures themselves now pay XP. The tasks page explains how they work.
Quests
Quests replace the elder quests. Tap the Quests button for three new ones every day, each worth 60 coins and 20 player XP. Claim all three for the day's prize, which might be 200 coins, a basic egg, or a crystal egg. Then a bonus quest appears. Play with a friend for 15 minutes, or trade with one. After the tutorial, talk to an elder to learn about their element.
An Open Arena
Every arena and bond camp tier is open now, and any three Elemixies can go to any tier. Your first win at each arena tier gives that tier's egg, from a basic egg at Beginner up to a primordial egg at Elite. Each star adds 5% to every stat, and every Elemixie can level up to 50, whatever its stars. A new Strength sort lists your strongest Elemixies first.
Foraging and Training Meters
Foraging and training now fill a meter while you play. It fills in an hour, holding 216 coins at the expedition camp or 36 XP for each Elemixie at the dojo. While you're away, it fills a third of the way over 8 hours. Collect any time and your team keeps working, or tap Finish to bring them home.
Eggs and Coins
Eggs cost more now that tasks pay coins: a basic egg is 840 coins, a crystal egg 1,440, an enchanted egg 1,800, an ancient egg 2,250, and a celestial egg 2,800. The primordial egg stays 3,500, and the coins you've saved stay as they are. The tutorial now pays 840 coins, enough for your first basic egg. The coin limit resets at every sunrise. It's 2,500 coins, or 3,750 with Elemixies+.
See you in the meadow.
